![]() ![]() To me, though, the razor is worth every penny, not only because of its overall quality, in the built and and the heavenly shave, but also because this exceptional razor makes me happy. Except for couple Gillettes, that's the limit of my safety razors. The only razor that comes close to the RAW RS-10 in this respect is the Timeless 0.68 with the scalloped top and base plates. Not many double edge razors treat my ultra sensitive skin as gently as the RAW RS-10. I couldnt ask for a better, irritation-free shave. Its probably the smoothest, most effective razor Ive ever used. Soon I will try the more aggressive plate for comparison. From what Ive read, the R41 is more aggressive than other razors Ive found too aggressive for me so Im certain it would leave me with irritation. So comfortable that I have been tempted to add a fourth pass to my usual three for the pleasure of it. I have had several shaves with the RAW RS-10's mild plate, using Feather blades, and each shave has been close and comfortable. I really like this element in the RAW RS-10. The handle's grip, which consists of canals rather than deep knurling, and the smooth finish, render a distinct softness to this razor. 84 is very good, and would be a solid, single-option shaver. It can meet the GC on its own terms, and go above or below, with fairly minimal investment. I am going to use the Timeless Polished Titanium handle 85mm length & 14mm dia on my Razo Rock. Im not blaming the razor, but I dont tend to waste a lot of time trying to make things work, especially when I have so many razors that do work. As I have posted in other threads, I couldnt seem to get the 34c to work for me. I dare say, for a stainless steel razor, RAW RS-10's weight feels less than that of other prominent stainless steel DE razors. Karve offers more versatility, if you want to experiment with more or less aggressive feel. It is a heavy razor, but very well-behaved for me. The razor is heavy, but not so heavy that it overwhelms my hands. ![]() Its ideal balance from where I hold the handle, slightly above the middle with the pinky anchoring the tip, makes the razor all the more suited for my arthritic hands. Much has been written about the RAW RS-10 razor's impressive fit and finish. 68 So far Ive had the opportunity to try the Razorock Game Changer 0.68-P and its my best safety razor. As a longtime wet shaver, predominantly with the straight razors, what more can I ask for? Feather Double Edge Safety Razor Blades - (50 Count) - Platinum Coated Hi-Stainless Steel Razor Blades - Fits Most Safety Razors - Super Sharp for Close Shaves. Astra Platinum Double Edge Safety Razor Blades ,100 Count (Pack of 1) 885 (0.09/Count) +. The razor, on the mild plate, gives me a perfect shave, while it pampers my ultra sensitive skin. This item: RazoRock GameChanger 0.84 Safety Bar Double-Edge Razor. Wolfman's workmanship was dazzling, and I loved Paradigm's light weight and handle design, but neither razor gave me a perfectly comfortable shave - for me, comfort over perfect. Not even the Wolfman, or the Paradigm titanium. Comparing it to my ikon B1 Standard, another aggressive razor, the Ikon has a ton of blade feel, almost. I don't ever remember a double edge safety razor feeling like a jewel in my hands until the RAW Shave RS-10. Think aggressive, but with very little blade feel, and smooth like butter.
